DTN COMMENTS: A few more bids are now on the table, but they are below 
current asking prices of around $214 to $215 in the South, and $340-plus 
in the North. Packer inquiry will continue to improve over the next 
several hours.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 335.16 +1.46, select 319.39 
+3.04) with generally light box movement (29.37 lds of choice cuts, 6.36 
lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 5.36 lds of ground). Near the 
noon hour live cattle futures are mixed, while feeder issues are 
moderately to sharply higher.
